Atlantic Bishops to Visit Rome and the Vatican: Every five years Bishops are invited to Rome for their “ad limina” visit. The Bishops of Atlantic Canada will be making this visit in March of this year. The purpose is first of all spiritual. All the Bishops will pray and say Mass at each of the four major Basilicas in Rome. Second, it is to visit with Pope Francis to renew the apostolic mission and fraternity with the Holy Father. Finally, the Bishops will share what is happening in their Dioceses with the various Pontifical Congregations and Councils, each of which has received a five-year report from their respective Diocese. You are asked to keep Bishop Richard and the other Bishops of Atlantic Canada in your prayers. Thank you!
