The St Dunstan’s University Institute of Christianity and Culture at UPEI invites the public to a lecture entitled, “Human Gene Editing: Ethics and Regulatory Landscape in Europe” by Father Emmanuel Agius professor of Moral Theology and Philosophical Ethics at the University of Malta. Father Agius is a member of the European Group on Ethics in Science and New Technologies and a member of the Pontifical Academy for Life. The lecture will be held on Wednesday March 4th, 2020 at 7:30 p.m. in the lecture theatre of the K.C. Irving Chemistry Centre on the UPEI campus. Everyone is welcome and admission is free.

Annual Women & Men’s Retreat: Our theme will be “Jesus Christ the Lamb of God and the Knock Apparition”. We will pray and reflect upon the significance of the Knock Apparition and its primary focus upon Jesus appearing as the Mystical Lamb. Additionally, we shall look at each of those present in the event: Mary, Our Lady of Knock, St. Joseph and St. John the Evangelist. Pilgrimage to the Holy Land (update – only 1 seat remaining): Want to experience something of the life of Jesus? Do you want to experience the places that our Lord walked and where He spoke to the people? Join Fr. Andrew Handrahan on a guided pilgrimage to some of Israel’s holy sites. From October 21st-29th, 2020, the pilgrimage will travel to the Holy Land and visit such places as Nazareth, the Sea of Galilee, the Mount of Transfiguration, Jerusalem, and the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Step into the River Jordan where Jesus was baptized, and stand on the hill where Jesus gave his sermon on the mount; walk through the places that our Lord himself walked, and experience the city of Jerusalem as you make the way of the cross which Jesus suffered.
