Easter Monday, April 22, is Earth Day around the world and there will be a Musical Evening at 7 pm at St. Pius X Church to celebrate the beauties and wonders of our common home, planet Earth. A variety of singers including the Gaia Chorus, Cornwall Community Choir, harpist Lise Morin, singers Fora Ann Whitty, Margie Carmichael, Tony Reddin, Eileen Clow, Richard Fellbaum. Grace Roberts, a singalong number with some Marthas and Associates and a tribute to trees with the Elm Dance movement. “The Crew,” a diocesan-wide youth group, will be presenting the Stations of the Cross in Silhouette, with meditations and prayers from the diary of St. Faustina. Please join us at St. Dunstan’s basilica Good Friday, April 19 at 7:30 pm. This prayerful event is a fundraiser for members of The Crew to attend the Steubenville Atlantic Youth Conference this summer, as well as for members who will be serving with NET Ministries as missionaries in 2019-20. Clinical Pastoral Education at the QEH (September 24, 2019 – April 15, 2020): The Queen Elizabeth Hospital’s Spiritual Care Department has received program approval from the Canadian Association of Spiritual Care (CASC) to offer a fall/winter of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE). CPE is an intensive, experience-based approach to learning regarding providing quality spiritual care. Students will attend a 28-week (400 hours) course that offers two-day-per-week training which includes classroom time and practicum time. The program is open to clergy, theology students, and lay persons with theology training who want to improve their pastoral skills in a health care setting. Called to Love: A Retreat for Young Women. On Saturday, April 27, 9 am-4 pm, the Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus of Ragusa are hosting this retreat for young women ages 18-30 at Sacred Heart Convent (403 Granville Street, Summerside).
